Institute for Energy Process Engineering and Dynamics in Energy Systems

With a staff of about 50 people, we do research in the fields of Thermal Power Plant Technology and Power Plant and Power Grid Systems, using our unique test rigs at semi-industrial scale and our sophisticated simulation tools.

The Institute for Energy Process Engineering and Dynamics in Energy Systems (IED) consists of several departments which are symbolized in the organizational structure. The institute is headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hendrik Lens and Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Markus Reinmöller
